Kim Kubasek has joined Developmental Disabilities Institute as Associate Executive Director. Kubasek brings twenty years of executive management experience to DDI. In her new role, she will be responsible for the coordination of services and the expansion of the agency’s programs for children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. Kubasek fills the position vacated by John Lessard when he assumed the role of Executive Director at DDI last year. Kubasek comes to DDI from United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Suffolk, Inc. in Hauppauge where she was the Chief Operating Officer. She is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the New York Association for Ambulatory Care. She is a member of the Suffolk County Long Term Care Council for NY Connects, a joint program of the New York State Office for the Aging (NYSOFA) and Department of Health. Kubasek is also a member of the Advisory Board for the Long Island Occupational & Environmental Health Center (LIOEHC). Kubasek earned her MBA from Bernard M. Baruch College/Mount Sinai School of Medicine. “Kim has extensive experience with the types of programs DDI offers, including special education, residential, day and clinic programs,” said John Lessard, Executive Director of DDI. “And, while DDI will benefit from her experience, I believe that it’s her clearly demonstrated leadership, integrity and dedication to human services which will prove most valuable to DDI. These attributes make her the ideal person to uphold DDI’s mission to support children and adults with developmental disabilities through exceptional care and innovative, individualized service.” |
