Kimberly Pierre-Saint has joined Rockland Independent Living Center as Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer.

Kimberly Pierre-Saint completed her education at New York University where she studied Healthcare Management with a concentration in Long-Term Care.  She worked at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan and specialized in Educational (Credentials), and Regulatory Compliance, and also engaged in projects with New York University Langone Medical Center’s Office of Government Affairs.  She has significant experience working in team environments and in leadership positions.  Pierre-Saint maintained a demanding schedule by balancing her educational career, work, and commitments to a relatively new 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization for Women’s Empowerment based in New York City which she Co-founded, and currently serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors. These experiences have been instrumental in shaping her pursuit for a lifelong career in public service.

Pierre-Saint entered the study of Healthcare Management with a personal mission centered on her hope to help create an equitable living environment for all people. She believes that the establishment of equitable healthcare is dependent on the extent that the social determinants of overall individual health are taken into account. Knowing this, she has made consumer advocacy, quality assurance and regulatory compliance the drivers for her career.

The role of Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer is ideally suited to her character, interests and talents. Ms. Pierre-Saint offers qualities of a natural leader: genuineness, intelligence, and integrity. By developing and implementing a Corporate Compliance Program for RILC, she will help to improve the efficiency and quality of services, ensure compliance with State and Federal mandates, and to reduce the agency’s vulnerability to fraud, waste and abuse.

“We are delighted that Kimberly has joined our team in this key position,” CEO/Executive Director George Hoehmann says.  “She brings a wealth of experience and will help us to strengthen our corporate compliance and quality improvement plan, now and in the future.”
