Iris House, the country’s first community-based organization meeting the needs of women, families and at-risk communities infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS, is pleased to announce that Tom Rosato, a principal at Deloitte Consulting LLP, was officially named to the Board of Trustees at Iris House. Mr. Rosato’s election was effective as of January 8, 2013.

Tom Rosato is a Partner with Deloitte Consulting LLP, the management consultancy, where he advises clients about technology and operations strategy. He also assists companies with large technology implementation projects and specializes in customer-facing technologies such as sales force automation, web and mobile technology, and contact centers. His practice centers on large institutions in the financial services industry. Mr. Rosato also leads a number of leadership development and talent related initiatives for the firm.

Prior to Deloitte, Mr. Rosato managed the state and local government welfare systems practice at IBM Global Services in Washington, D.C. Mr. Rosato obtained his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and his MBA from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Rosato has been a resident of New York City for over twenty years, and lives in Manhattan and in Accord, NY with his partner. Mr. Rosato has been an active supporter of Iris House for the past seven years, including fundraising activities and coordinating volunteer activities at Iris House through Deloitte’s IMPACT Day, which supports involvement in community service projects nationwide.

“I am very excited that Tom will be joining our Board, bringing his extensive professional expertise and passion for community service,” said Executive Director Ingrid Floyd. “Tom and I were colleagues at Deloitte, and he has been a friend and trusted advisor for more than a decade. He and his partner Jack have been faithful supporters of our work, and we are thrilled that Tom is now at the leadership table in an official capacity.”

“I am passionate about Iris House and their mission, and have been very impressed with all that the organization has accomplished," expressed Rosato. "I look forward to working with the other members of the board and to making a strong contribution to Iris House.”

Iris House provides services for women, families and communities infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS. In addition to providing family-centered services that promote prevention, education and awareness, Iris House also offers practical services that address the day-to-day needs and reality of living with HIV/AIDS. Iris House provides nutritional counseling and meal programs, intensive case management, scatter site housing, mental health services and support groups, and job and life skills training. Since opening its doors in 1993, Iris House has assisted thousands of individuals cope with HIV/AIDS and reached tens of thousands of people in our communities through outreach, prevention education and free HIV Rapid Testing.
