UNH’s annual “New Yorkers Who Make a Difference” Benefit took place on October 28th at the Tribeca Rooftop in lower Manhattan. More than 400 leaders from the government, corporate and nonprofit sectors gathered to celebrate and support the work of UNH. The event raised over $600,000. UNH Board member Ilene Margolin, a Senior Vice President at Emblem Health, and the New York Community Trust were honored at the event for their outstanding contributions to UNH and its member organizations. Special recognition was also given to Citi Field Kids, UNH’s partnership with Citi and The New York Mets which brought more than 1,000 children from UNH member agencies to CitiField this summer. Former New York State Governor Mario Cuomo introduced Ilene Margolin at the benefit, and Maurice Dubois from CBS2 News was the Master of Ceremonies. “UNH is deeply gratified by the success of the event, which exceeded our goals in a difficult environment,” said Nancy Wackstein, Executive Director of United Neighborhood Houses. “We are very appreciative of our distinguished honorees and all of our supporters for acknowledging the important work of UNH and our member organizations in strengthening communities throughout New York City. “
