SCO Family of Services hosted its annual Spring Fashion Show on May 5th. This year’s event raised over $100,000, more than ever before, in support of SCO’s services for children and families. The show, which was chaired by Laura Gay and Virginia Treiber, celebrated Cinco de Mayo a the Nassau Country Club. Mother and daughter, Grace and Michele Del Gadio, were honored for their endless dedication to SCO’s mission of helping New York and Long Island’s most vulnerable.
Grace Del Gadio has been involved with SCO for the past fifteen years. She is an active guild member who initiated Pasta Night for the developmentally disabled children who live at SCO’s St. Christopher’s Home in Sea Cliff, contributing her own homemade sauce and meatballs.
Following in her mothers’ philanthropic footsteps, Michele, on behalf of Sony Pictures Television, has teamed up with SCO’s Department of Youth Development to create a clothing outlet for the agency’s young adults. The outlet is stocked with new or gently used wardrobe from the sets of Sony television shows, and all of the clothing is free. The outlet has been a success since its opening in June 2009.
SCO Family of Services provides a wide range of services for vulnerable children and families.
