| OMRDD & NYFD to Speak at NYNP Fire Safety Conference |

Charles Kearly, Director of OMRDD's new Office of Safety and Security Services will speak about the agency's new initiatives in the area of fire safety at a free half-day conference being co-sponsored by NYNP at 1:00 p.m. on March 10th. In addition to the new OMRDD initiative, the conference will address general fire safety issues confronting nonprofits in a variety of programs, including the new Amanda's Law and the NYFD Certificate of Fitness Holder requirement. Joseph Woznica, Deputy Assistant Chief, Bureau of Fire Prevention for the NYC Fire Department, will also present. Additional presenters will include Bob Williams, President of Briscoe Protection Systems; Architect James Vassalotti and Brad Storey, MSW, Director of Risk Management for the Irwin Siegel Agency, Inc. The program will include a panel discussion and training for the new NYFD Certificate of Fitness Holder requirement.
