The Support Center for Nonprofit Management has received a $50,000 grant from the Altman Foundation to support Executive Transition Management Services and Turnaround & Restructuring assistance to nonprofits facing economic challenges in the New York metro area.

The Support Center’s Executive Transition Management and Turnaround services focus on assisting nonprofit organizations, their boards and executive directors, prepare for and manage change. This allows agencies to tackle immediate crises and plan for sustainable futures. The grant will support the continued training and development of a core group of interim executive directors (IEDs) who are experienced and ready to help nonprofits solve the problems they are facing.

“The Support Center is enormously appreciative of Altman’s continued support of capacity building and on demand problem solving that nonprofits need in this uncertain economic environment,” said Executive Director Don Crocker.
